Hudson Yards is the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States and one of most complex construction projects in the history of New York City. The project will include more than 18 million square feet of commercial and residential space, 1 million square feet of retail and mixed use space, 100 shops and 14 acres of gardens, plazas and public space.
Base Design Group worked in close collaboration with the design and build teams in the Delegated Design and Construction phases of the project to provide specialty structural engineering services for cold-formed steel framing on several of the new structures that form part of this master plan project. Our design services included sound isolation walls and ceilings, rated enclosures, seismic expansion joints, tenant fit-ups and exterior framing.
