This medical office facility consists of a renovated existing building along with a new 11,500 s.f. addition serving as added office spaces, treatment areas and rental spaces.
The structural system for the addition consists of wood-framed bearing walls supporting wood roof trusses and rafters. The grade level floor is constructed of steel joists, girders and columns with a 4” composite slab over a full-basement. Lateral loads (wind and seismic forces) in both directions are resisted by the use of wood-framed shear walls.
